The media institutions that will distribute my media product will mainly Be websites such as, Vimeo, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr, Facebook and other social networking websites. As Our film is based on a social networking website (Facebook), Where two strangers meet, It'll be suitable to distribute it on a social networking site such as Facebook or twitter as we'll get alot of viewers by doing so. We can also embed our short film onto Vimeo & YouTube as many independent films gain their views through this.

Upload onto Twitter, Facebook, Flickr

I found this short student film on YouTube and it has 4,792 Views, Perhaps they achieved all their views by broadcasting it on YouTube. YouTube is a great place to broadcast as you never know  who'll watch your film, Whereas if you upload it on Facebook then it can only get as far as your friends, unless you tell them to upload it on theres then they can tell friends. So, The Best ways to distribute our media product will Most likely be Facebook and YouTube.

Evaluation- Question 1- In what ways does your media product use,develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Our thriller is conventional in a way that the main character whose the bad one, isnt seen....only the side of her face is seen....this keeps a sense of mystery and viewers try hard to guess who it is. Our thriller can also be said not to be conventional and not the typical thriller film as we've got a female stalker instead of a male stalker. This makes the audience unaware of the situation as the our female stalker has a males picture on her Facebook profile and she stalks another girl , so it looks as if she the girl and shes been stalked by the male.

Dexter, which is another thriller uses some of the same conventions that we use all the close ups and the side view that we use are similar to Dexter's. This could tell us that our film uses alot of the conventions that a typical thriller uses. Here are some of the shots from Dexter and Facade (our thriller) compared.....
close up of the hands in facade

Dexter Close up of hands ..very similar to ours.

Over the shoulder shot of Our main actress....as you can see its only the back of her head that is seen.
similar to facade only the back of his head is seen.  Over the shoulder shot.

Close up of the Eye In Facade, Able to see full detail.

Close up of the egg frying in Dexter, Similar to Facade full detail is seen.

This is the Title of our thriller and similar to Dexter its really clear and easy to read;
situated right in the middle.
Dexter title, very clear, easy to read similar to Facade.

Evaluaion- Question 3- Who would be the audience for your media Product?

for our thriller we're looking for a mature audience ..... Perhaps 15 year olds and above. Sarah is 17 and she currently attends college, studying her A levels. Other than studying, she likes having a good time with friends; Partying, shopping, cinemas, dinner etc. She likes Grime, Hip hop & R&B music, Artists such as Chris Brown, Trey songs, Beyonce & Rihanna are her favorite. She likes shopping at all the casual high street stores such as H&M, New Look, River Island, Topshop and a lot more. Shes the typical teenage girl with all the latest technologies, Mac Book, I pad, Blackberry & Ipod. Sarah enjoys social networking sites such as facebook & twitter. Our film appeals to her as it tackles some of the traps that teenage girls fall into when on social networking sites. She still lives at home with her mum and has a part time job at Sainsburys.
