How does your media product represent particular social groups?

In a majority of identity based films that involve cyber technology and social network sites, the antagonist would usually be male, changing his identity into a female as he would play the role of a ‘stalker.’ This is only a stereotypical opinion of a film about stealing identity to stalk. So for our thriller, we decided to change it around a bit to create more confusion and individuality from these films where the antagonist is male. In order to be more original it was an obvious choice to make the antagonist of our thriller, a female. And the victim of this cyber stalking would also be female, therefore making this thrilling ‘one way romance’ a girl on girl obsession.
